I cannot thank Aaron and Joel enough for the level of services that we have received over the years but more specifically, when we recently added a teen driver to our policies. I feel like they put time in doing research to get us the best possible price on our policies. Aaron Mast (@aaronmast44) has been a key member of the McKinnon Insurance team since 2014. Hailing from Sugarcreek, Ohio, Aaron now resides in Dover with his wife Diana and their three sons, Jaxson, Liam, and Beckham. Before joining McKinnon Insurance, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business Marketing from Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio. During his university years, Aaron dedicated his summers and holidays to gaining insight into the insurance industry, with a particular emphasis on customer service. This focus allowed him to acquire a deep understanding of the field, which he aimed to utilize immediately after graduation. In 2003, upon completing his studies, he earned his Property and Casualty insurance license in Ohio, marking the beginning of his professional insurance career.
Aaron's experience in the insurance sector began in 2003. From that spring until October 2014, he was employed by a local independent insurance agency. Throughout these 11 years, Aaron worked extensively with numerous local families, helping them protect their homes, vehicles, businesses, farms, and other assets across Ohio. His passion lies in assisting families to secure what is most important to them, finding satisfaction in guiding them to the ideal policies for their auto, home, and business insurance needs.
His commitment to providing protection and peace of mind is the driving force behind his career. Aaron values the opportunity to support people during their most challenging times, considering it an invaluable aspect of his work.
Joel McKinnon, owner and President of McKinnon Insurance, is an Ashland University alumnus, graduating in 2003 with a degree in Business Management, and a minor in Business Marketing. At Ashland University, he not only played college football but was also a member of the Eagle Investment Group. It was during this time that he met his future spouse, Tricia Herzig-McKinnon. Before finishing his studies in November 2003, Joel secured a position with Farmers Insurance as an agent.
As the head of McKinnon Insurance, Joel manages a team of four and has built one of the largest Farmers Insurance agencies in the state of Ohio. He has been distinguished as an Elite Commercial agent by Farmers Insurance, also earning numerous awards such as the Blue Vase, Life Masters, Topper Club, Championship, and Presidents Council.
Everett Samples is the latest member to join the McKinnon Insurance team, bringing with him two years of experience in the industry. His role is fueled by a profound passion for helping families protect their properties, businesses, and overall well-being. Everett finds immense satisfaction in his work as an insurance agent, especially when his clients express their relief and gratitude in times of need.
Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Everett now lives in Wintersville, Ohio with his wife Bretton and their daughter Violet, and they are excitedly expecting a new addition to their family. His educational background includes attending Serra Catholic School in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, followed by studies at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania, and Washington and Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania.
Everett's interests go beyond his professional life. He has a deep interest in history, with a particular focus on military events from the medieval and Renaissance periods. Additionally, he is an avid fan of metal music and enjoys attending concerts whenever he can.
